Euphrasia ist ein Extrakt das aus der Heilpflanze Augentrost (im lateinischen Euphrasia officinalis) gewonnen wird. Die Pflanze wird schon seit dem 14. Jahrhundert in der Naturheilkunde zur Behandlung von verschiedensten Leiden eingesetzt – darunter auch die Bekämpfung von jeglichen Augenkrankheiten und Irritationen.

In der Kosmetik wird der Wirkstoff häufig für die Pflege der empfindlichen Hautpartien rund um das Auge verwendet.
