Our WELLMAXX® hyaluron⁵ care is particularly characterized by an innovative combination of various long- and short-chain hyaluronic acids. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally occurring in the body that moisturizes the skin. However, as the skin aging process progresses, the hyaluronic acid content decreases, leading to a loss of skin firmness and elasticity.

"5-fold hyaluronic acid" means that different combinations of hyaluronic acid are used. These have molecules of varying sizes – from very small to larger. This allows the hyaluronic acid to penetrate better into different skin layers and offer different properties and benefits.

• Long-chain hyaluronic acid: This has a larger molecular structure and tends to remain on the skin's surface. There, it forms a moisturizing film that makes the skin supple and protects it from environmental influences. Since it does not penetrate deeply, it primarily provides immediate smoothing and hydration.
• Short-chain hyaluronic acid: This has smaller molecules and can penetrate deeper into the skin layers. As a result, it promotes moisture retention in the deeper layers and long-term supports skin elasticity and regeneration, and is therefore used for a more intensive anti-aging effect.
